HAVE YOUR SAY

Your feedback will help us to understand the priorities and aspirations of the local community as we prepare our outline planning application for a new neighbourhood of high-quality homes, first school and extensive public open spaces.

Once you have had an opportunity to read an overview of the emerging plans, and view the interactive concept masterplan, please take a moment to complete our feedback questionnaire below.

Please ensure feedback is submitted by midnight on Wednesday 16th July 2025 to ensure that it is taken into account as we prepare to submit our outline planning application.

If you would like to be kept updated on the emerging proposals, the subsequent planning application and statutory consultation carried out by Stafford Borough Council, as well as progress with the plans, please ensure you select “Opt-in to email updates” at the end of the form.

Do you welcome our approach to providing crucial community infrastructure such as a new first school and extensive highways enhancements alongside new homes to help meet housing need in the Borough?

What is your priority for new homes in Stone?

Up to 40% of the new homes would be affordable homes, enabling people on lower incomes to secure a home of their own in Stone. Is this important to you?

It is proposed that the development could include specialist older people’s housing, enabling older people to downsize into accessible accommodation to live independently but with support and facilities they need close at hand. Would you welcome this?

Do you welcome the provision of a new first school for the western side of Stone?

The development will include significant enhancements to increase capacity and flow at the Walton roundabout in Stone, improving the existing flow through the junction whilst mitigating the impact of development. Do you welcome this?

Significant enhancements will be made to active travel connections between the site and Walton roundabout. Do you welcome this?

The new homes will be built to Future Homes Standard, delivering a neighbourhood of net zero carbon-ready homes. Is this important to you?

Existing high value habitats such as mature trees and the majority of hedgerows will be retained, bolstered by extensive additional planting to significantly increase tree cover across the site, delivering biodiversity net gain of at least 10%. Is this important to you?

A significant proportion of the site will be retained as landscaped open space, including a network of walking and cycling routes set within green corridors on land that has previously been inaccessible to the public. Do you welcome this?

Are there any outdoor recreational or play facilities that you would like to see provided within the green open space if possible?

Are you, or is anyone you know, seeking a new home in Stone?

Do you have any other comments or suggestions?
